I've been trying to update my Windows in the past three days. I guess all the updates are successfully updated despite all the pending download, pending install, pending restart. The only one seems having problem is "Feature to update Window 10, version ".
I don't know what is happening. I try to download, install, and restart. It seems forever there are some updates. Finally, I realise this same update keep on appearing again. I used the troubleshooter, but it does not help. After download, install, and restart.
The status of the same update become download again. No error message. Not sure what to do? Some suggest download service packs, deleted the download folder. This thread is locked. I downloaded the Media Creation Tool. After that I created the ISO. I ran the ISO and didn't see an upgrade option. I guess the upgrade option means keeping personal file and the app. Nevertheless, I went back to media creation tool and chose the update option. I have successfully updated the system after literally about 24 hours.
I logged in and printed something to my printer. I was very happy. Everything seems fine. Then, I shut down the computer. I started again. Problems come. After it started, a blank screen with an mouse arrow cursor appear. After few minutes, the login screen appeared. I can only log in with administrator account. The other users account appear blank after logged. Even with administrator account, after login, there is a blank screen appear for a short while.
Everything seems working slowly. Not sure what is the problem with my notebook. Is it the harddisk problem, which is going to crash? I've reinstalled again using the ISO. About the same. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

DaveM Independent Advisor. Hi Sam, With these major upgrades, the most successful method is to upgrade from the Windows 10 ISO - you download the ISO and then perform an Offline Upgrade Please Note, follow the steps, this is then just an update and your files and applications will remain untouched.
